C'mon, Leprechauns?Īs I was reading this I said to myself, why does that author's name seem so familiar … Elle Casey? Checked it out and see I have read and LOVED her Shine Not Burn series. Darby O'Gill and the LIttle People is a great movie … but not really representative of Ireland. Why was I worried? Well, most of you know me and how I like my "IRISH" to be authentic. but sure, I said to meself, for the day that's in it, let's give this one a shot. I had started KA's Soaring and, as you know I am a huge fan of KA and usually cannot put her books down. Then yesterday, St Patrick's Day, I see it on my Kindle in the morning.
I one-clicked the pre-order and promptly forgot about it. So I was a little bit excited but also a little bit worried. This place is literally half an hour away from the village I grew up in. Then I read the book description and saw that it was set in Lisdoonvarna (no, not a fictional village). I read her review and her blurb on the recommendation and sort of rolled my eyes and said… OK, another fecking clichéd book to keep the fecking foreigners happy.
